Felix
Felix, has worked incredibly hard from the moment he started in Hornbury class. He always shows respect in class by listening so well and always engages in lessons with such a willingness to share his knowledge. This week he has produced a fantastic picture timeline about ‘The Space Race.’ He has also written an amazing recount based on our English text Beegu showing his writing skills of sentence openers and speech within his writing. Well done Felix – we are proud of you!
Dulcie
Dulcie has had a great start to the new term, demonstrating aspiration in all of her learning. Dulcie also always shows super respect; she is a polite, helpful pupil and an excellent year 6 role model. Dulcie always tries her very best in all her learning and shows good resilience with things she finds tricky. Dulcie has particularly shone in Maths, working confidently in Algebra to solve function machine problems. You are an absolute please to teach Dulcie – Well done!
Eli
Eli has been very busy and he has challenged himself in lots of ways. First he decided that he was going to complete a very tricky 150 piece dinosaur puzzle – working with friends he achieved this. Then he was able to talk about all the different parts of a winter tree and tell me the difference between a tree in autumn and winter. He has also become a member of our school council and despite being nervous he went along and helped run tuck shop.
Well Done Eli
Charlotte C
Charlotte you always so hard in class. You start your work straight away and with great enthusiasm. You have worked hard on the money unit in maths and record your work neatly and carefully. In Writing, you have been enjoying our work about Beegu and are embracing writing a recount, constructing your own sentences and using ambitious language. You are a very polite and respectful girl, you always wait for your turn and listen carefully to others. Well done Charlotte.
Ellie P
As part of our learning in English, we have been re-writing folk tales which are part of our class book, ‘The Girl Who Speaks Bear’. Ellie was asked to write a conversation between two characters: a queen bear and a princess. This dialogue needed to be punctuated accurately and carefully and the work had to include some description. Ellie has done a fantastic job at this tricky writing task. Well done, Ellie.
