Isabella

Oakleaze Class have been working on their time tables knowledge over the year.  To revise, we have been attempting the challenge of 50 questions in 5 minutes.  Isabella has whipped through the first of our Rainbow Maths challenge cards, recalling these tricky facts at speed.  This times tables knowledge helps her in all areas of maths and speeds up calculation.  Well done, Isabella.

Lucy

Lucy has shown respect and integrity this week by showing kindness to a friend. She encouraged her to join into a class activity in a kind manner when her friend was feeling upset. Lucy has also shown a fantastic enthusiasm for our new Literacy text ‘Beegu’ and created a fabulous story map showing the different events of the story. Well done Lucy!

Charlie W

Charlie we have been really impressed with your mature attitude and focus this term.  You have been working particularly hard in maths, able to understand and identify vertices, faces and edges of shapes and also sort shapes into different categories.  You are keen to share your knowledge and understanding with the class.  We have also been impressed with the presentation of your work.  Well done Charlie, a great start to the term.

Archie H

Archie has settled back into school well after the Christmas Holidays.  As well as being a kind and helpful member of our class,   he has drawn some brilliant cave paintings thinking about pre historic animals.  He has also  done some brilliant reading and worked really hard in phonics and maths this week.

Sofia

Sofia has shown great aspiration in her Maths and English work this week.  Sofia always listens carefully in Maths, she takes a full an active part in lessons and always has her hand up to share her thinking.  In English, Sofia has thought carefully about the features of a folktale and has worked hard to incorporate a range of language and structural features into her own writing.  Sofia is always eager to take her learning to the next level – super aspiration and motivation Sofia – well done!
