Seb
Seb, you are a star! Seb consistently shows aspiration in all his learning: he listens carefully, participates fully in discussions and shows motivation and resourcefulness in his learning. Seb is also an excellent Year 6 role model: he is polite, responsible an helpful. Among his other achievements this week, Seb has created a wonderful storyboard depicting the Christmas truce of 1914: such lovely illustrations too!
Well done Seb!
Hugo
As part of our topic work, we have tried to understand what life was like for the soldiers who fought during WW1. Class 5 have been looking at real letters that were written. As response we have written our own letters home from the trenches. Hugo has worked independently and included lots of super details and feelings. He has remembered to use capital letters and full stops to mark his sentences as well. A great job, Hugo.
Jack G
Jack you have produced some super work in maths this week. You have done some quick mental addition and worked out answers speedily in your written work too! You have also tried hard in phonics – joining in and saying the sounds and thinking of sentences. Our Victorian School visit, just before the holidays, was an exciting day and you listened and joined in with the activities. Well done Jack, you have shown aspiration in your learning – keep it up.
Jack N
Jack has been trying really hard this week to listen and focus. He has worked so much harder during his independent learning and produced a fantastic piece of writing linked to our English text – ‘The Owl who is afraid of the dark.’ He has also worked hard in our maths lessons and has managed to complete his maths work this week. Jack you have made a great start to this term- keep this up!
Tommy
Tommy has been very busy this week. He has tried really hard when learning his letter sounds and also in his learning about numbers.
When thinking about our class story The Bear Hunt, he was keen to help us make a sensory map of the story, he then drew his own map including all the things the children went through mud, grass, a river, the forest and a huge snow storm. Well Done Tommy
