Golden Book 22/0922 September 2023 (by admin) |
Congratulations to the children who made the Golden Book this week:
Carlos for Aspiration
Carlos has made a fantastic start to Year 6, demonstrating aspiration throughout all his learning. Carlos has engaged brilliantly in all tasks, working with focus and determination, he also always listens attentively and shares well thought out ideas. Great work in Maths, Carlos has worked confidently with Prime, Square and Cube numbers. He has also produced super writing in our story writing unit, editing his work carefully. Well done Carlos!
Olive for Respect:
Olive you are such a polite and respectful girl. You sit beautifully on the carpet showing that you are ready to listen and learn. You put your hand up to answer or ask a question and listen to your teachers and your friends. You also show aspiration in your learning, you are ready to start work straightaway and work hard and carefully, making sure that you complete your work. You are an excellent role model Olive and a pleasure to teach.
Iris for Aspiration & Respect
In Oakleaze Class we have been reading ‘Stay Where You Are And Then Leave’, which is a story about a boy whose father enlists to fight in World War One. We considered what made men join up to be soldiers. Iris has written a monologue from the point of view of a young man who has been persuaded to fight after seeing lots of posters. She has used some interesting language and thought about words appropriate for this era. She listens carefully and shows super respect, as well as an aspiration to do her best.
Katie for Aspiration
Katie has had a busy week, she had some really good ideas when we made a garden for our mouse and worked hard putting her garden together.
Katie is always willing to have a go during phonics and is also trying really hard with her letter formation.
Well done Katie.
Darcy for Resilience
Darcy has shown such a positive attitude towards her learning. She has embraced everything we have given her to try with a smile on her face and shown amazing resilience in tasks that she has found more tricky. She has a ‘can do’ attitude and as a result has already shown progress within her learning. Darcy, also consistently shows all of our other school values on a daily basis – she is an absolute super star. We are so proud of her. Well done Darcy!
